This post will focus on coupling at Publix. It can be relatively simple and done with minimal effort. A lot of friends have asked how I do it......so in an effort to follow through with goals in 2017, I will make every effort to be better at posting the coupons for the week. I strongly suggest that you start small, go in with a list and only get your coupon items. This will allow you to see exactly the savings you are getting. I often still do my coupon specific shops separate from my weekly grocery shopping.
Most of the coupons can be printed from online (you can do two prints per computer). If you have more than one computer print two from each..... and you can print many from your phones. I try to purchase 2 Sunday papers a week. Many of the Publix sales are BOGO, so having an extra paper is huge. I do have a contact with a paper distributer who will sell the papers half price. Publix allows you to use 8 coupons at one time, so if you are going to coupon a lot buying 8 a week is a steal, and saves on printer ink and paper.
Publix coupon policy allows you to use one manufacturer (MFQ) coupon per item, even on the BOGO (buy one get one free) items. They also allow you to stack with one store coupon per item. A store coupon can be a Publix coupon or a competitor coupon. Check you Publix and see what other stores they accept coupons from. If they don't take Target look for another Publix close to you that does.....Target coupons can be huge. Publix also allows one total store or competitor coupon per purchase, for example $10 off $50 purchase. When stacking you can often get things for free, or close to it.
Publix sales run Thursday through Wednesday. They also have green flyer sales and purple flyer sales, the fates for these vary. Flyers can often be printed, but I would suggest grabbing a handful of each near the from of your local store every time you go in. Often times you will find different saving booklets throughout the store, when you see them, grab a handful (I try to get 8 of everything as that is the max number of same coupons you can use at one time).
